Hellebore

Hellebore: pressed at our London studio using traditional methods, mounted on maroon 1400 micron board. This specimen is set within a scored border, with its plant name in calligraphy. 

Available unframed or framed with UV coated conservation glazing to offer maximum protection from exposure to light. 

Hellebores are members of the buttercup, or Ranunculaceae, family. There are over twenty species and many hybrids of this beautiful plant which make stunning pressings. However, to enable the plant to continue growing year after year in the garden, you will have to resist the urge to cut for pressing and wait for the first seedheads to form.

We advise hanging your pressed specimens away from direct sunlight. Pressed botanicals will inevitably lose colour over time, although they will never lose their form. We like to celebrate this as part of a plant's ephemeral nature.
