We are thrilled to be hosting an Introduction to Flower Pressing Workshop at Charleston. This day-long workshop will begin with a tour of the walled garden with Charleston’s head gardener Harry Hoblyn for inspiration. You will learn how to select seasonal varieties suitable for pressing, and how to prepare and preserve them in your own flower press which is yours to keep and use for years to come. You will also be taught how to compose and mount pressed flower specimens, making your own artwork to take home.

The workshop includes a house tour, artisan lunch and exclusive garden visit

From the moment artists Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant moved to Charleston in 1916, they began to paint. They transformed the house into a living breathing work of art. Charleston became a gathering point for some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers known collectively as the Bloomsbury group.
