Brake Fern on Linen Paper

A Brake fern, carefully pressed in its entirety from root to tip, mounted on a Japanese linen paper crafted by fine paper specialists Takeo and framed in a handcrafted marquetry frame.

Pressed and mounted by hand at our South London studio using traditional methods. Framed in a bespoke marquetry frame by Harry Eagle with a wave pattern in contrasting dark and light dyed wood to suit both contemporary and classic interiors.

Frame details: Framed in a marquetry frame with UV conservation glazing (AR70).

Dimensions: 343 x 342mm framed.

We advise hanging your pressed flowers away from direct sunlight. 

Each pressing captures the individual beauty and character of the specimen in that moment. Although preserved, its unique nature will continue to change over time. Pressed botanicals will inevitably lose colour, although they will never lose their form. We embrace and celebrate this as part of a flower’s ephemeral nature.
