Hellebore with Roots (A2)

A single framed pressed flower artwork: Hellebore with roots. A modern take on a classic herbarium specimen, we have pressed the entire plant from root to tip, including the root, stem, leaf, flower and bud. 

Pressed, mounted and framed at our South London studio. Mounted on off-white 1400 micron mount board, this hellebore specimen is set within a subtle scored border with its plant name in calligraphy, giving this traditional art form a beautiful modern finish.

Framing: Matte black aluminium with AR90 UV conservation glazing. Alternative framing options available on request. 

Made to order: Please allow 4-6 weeks. Each artwork is unique, the composition and colour will vary; we will send photographs of the composition to you for approval before finalising the artwork. 

We advise hanging your pressed flowers away from direct sunlight to prevent them fading quickly. 

Each pressing captures the individual beauty and character of the specimen in that moment. Although preserved, its unique nature will continue to change over time. Pressed botanicals will inevitably lose colour, although they will never lose their form. We like to celebrate this as part of a flower’s ephemeral nature.
