Avocado Seed Ink Painting
Avocado Seed Ink Painting
Artist Flora Wallace’s mesmerising ink paintings are all made with locally foraged natural materials. From seasonally sourced berries, nuts, leaves, petals and minerals, to recycled plant matter from JamJar Flowers’ studio.
This piece is made with Avocado Seed and Iron Water from the Lemon Cafe, North London.
Flora’s inks have been made using mordants such as alum, ferrous sulphate and iron. Thyme oil has also been added as it has antibacterial properties.
Painted on 300gsm textured white acid free paper and mounted on cream 1400 micron mount board.
Framed inkworks are presented in a bespoke black flat grain wooden box frame with UV coated conservation glazing to offer maximum protection from exposure to light.
We recommend hanging away from direct sunlight. The beauty of handmade inks made from plant based ingredients is that they can change with time.
